I did not remember when i started reading this novel but I m sorry to Alex Walters for not being capable to plunge myself into the lines. Nice twist I can tell, but I started reading this on a painful day of my headache (remains as mystery since ever till today) came hitting me like a real disaster. Once I started reading, I wanted to continue but I could not understand at first and this non-mingling-with-the-characters made me skimming-like reading until I finish tonight. I did not want to keep on the reading but I compelled myself before I put a big guilt of not finishing what I had begun successfully lol
Honestly, I did not understand the whole story but based on my decoding of the words used in the novel, this novel was about Marie who was under a deep cover to fight the crime of Kerridge. She went to charity party held by Kerridge, met Jake Morton and fell in love when she actually had a boyfriend lying limp at home, and got confused with everyone. She made love to Morton with a reason to actually find some infos from him but she really was in love with him. Somebody had broke in the house and killed Morton but she tended to run away before caught.
Later she found plenty of folks findin her to say sonething about Morton's death. Her love making with Morton should be a secret perfectly concealed in her head only. And John something (i kept forgetting things lately and I just finished it and I had forgotten the character!!!) had got killed after he met her to say something about mortified Morton. and suddenly Joe (who made himself looking like having a crush on her in her so-called printing bussines [undercover job] ) appeared while she was bathing. He'd shown how adorable she was to him, and willin to help her in digging the stealth. She was eventually feeling relieved to believe in someone but at the end of it, Joe tried to shoot her but Salter (the first cast in the story, the main man in this undercover job, liason to Marie Donovan) came and hit Joe to passing out.
Marie was against believing in Salter and Welbsy (the other guy in the same field) but she couldnt do anythinf. Salter helped her to hid somewhere or more or less taking a rest after a situation leading to death that just occured. She later found out Salter had a meeting with Kerridge and Welbsy when she was hiding in the ceiling. But Salter faltered when asked about Marie's whereabouts and pooom pannggg pooom pangggg, things gone fast Kerridge and Welbsy were defeated.
I might be slipped away from the real lane of this storyline I am so sorry to myself and those who want to find something beneath the cover. This story was undeniably interesting and people, especially the fans of CSI, or any crime movies could find joy reading this.
To me it was like watching Sicario with my parentz, a very confusing plot, not understandable (by us) and ended up sleeping on the couch lol
It led me to imagine
Benicio del Toro as Salter
Mila Jovovich as Marie
Tom Hanks as Liam (her sick boyfried)
Shia Lebouf (innocent look) as Joe (cause he played as an innocent boy)
and the rest are hardly pictured, just like the inside of me lol
