Wild Tree p3

I did not know what was exactly happening in the house. Mr. Gerard was planting the best grape tree in his lawn. How can he planted this kind of creature around this neighborhood. I sworn that he was supposed to grow his own orchard.
'Hey, Anna,' up from behind, I could hear a boy's voice that seemed not to be in my age.
'Hey,' I turned around and saw Stanley wearing a shirt and a nice-looking pants.
'What are you doing here alone?' as he approached me, I looked upwards.
'You're still short and need more calcium to grow taller,' he smiled broadly towards me. I looked down and took a 'sight-seeing' at his shoes.
'You didn't wash your shoes,' I said.
'I did. But it needs to be more glazed,' and he suddenly looked at his shoes. Once he tried to look upwards again, he glared at me.
'You look sad,'
'I am not,'
Shockingly he hugged me and gave a kiss on my forehead just like Dad did. He might totally know what had happened.

And that was the last time I saw Stanley. I wish I could ever hug him again. Even as a brother.

Walking down the hill reaching the woods where my father used to be, I stopped and took a deep breath over the weird trees I ever saw in my life. Father said that it was only me who assumed the weirdness of the trees. I used to ask Stanley when he was a high school student and he said the same like father did. The moment he explained to me of how the growth cycle of the tree, I was being blanked by his stunning voice. I was 10 back then as one of the bestfriends of mine found on earth was him. I had no friend still. He only appeared a second after a magical part of my life and he was away in a blink of a fairy's magic sprinkle.

The trees looked relaxing enough to remind me of Dad. I missed him. Father or Dad is a word that plays a hard role in my entire life. I had no mother but he told me I did not possess no mother. Then, who was the one running through Dad's head in her beautiful classic dressing? Mother of mine?

'Honey,' came an old woman.
'Hi,' I looked up.
'You must be Anna,'
'No,' I closed my eyes as I lied down on the petty grass.
'I knew you,' the old woman sat next to me. I knew her. She was the the one down at the cemetery last night.
'Anna, don't you miss your father?'
'Stupid,' I murmured wishing that she wouldn't hear me.
'It's not a good word to be spoken up,' says Maria in her very gentle voice.
'You must be very stupid. Nobody would forget their father,' I rose up and look into her eyes.
'Don't you miss your father?' I asked her gently.
'I did. But my daughter didn't,' she started to minimize her smile. It seems the war between them hadn't been over yet after the occurrence at the cemetery that night.
'What's wrong with your daughter?'
'She never wanted to remember her dad,' vitreous eyes of hers were apparently obvious to me. She must be sad.
'I know you were strolling this morning and I saw you from afar,' said this mother.
'I could hear that your daughter shouted at you,'
'How could you hear that? You were totally afar!' she looked definitely shocked.
'Well, I don't know,' I lied down again and she was following along.
'Anna, can you please...'
'Please what?'
'Be my.....'
'Your daughter?'
'Errr.. it's just that...'
'No!' I disagreed in an immediate time. I am no other child unless of my father.
'Aren't you stupid, old woman? How can you easily have someone else after your previous beloved just left? My late father said that there's no parent resenting their own children. You don't deserve to be a parent!' I stood up and ran away from this crazy old woman. Weird.

Yes. Father had left me alone. No, he didn't leave me alone. He left me with his love. I knew my father. Once I woke up after the night of the funeral, he left a note saying that 'I love you,' He wanted to tell me something but it was apparent that we would never see each other again! I found Stanley that morning right after I attended my Dad's funeral. Dad has died over heart attack, said the neighbours. He fainted a few minutes after he went out of the house. I was sad that he didn't die in my arms like we had promised before that we wanted to die in each other's arm. However, I cried over bliss wishing my father would rest in such a good place up there.

And the day after tomorrow, I met Stanley which was not....
Stanley....

The funeral was done. I was away from all those crowds with tears rolling down their black veils lying on their cheeks. I would always want to cuddle a friend who is in a need of everything to be fine but I know I don't ever deserve to be in the particular situation 'cause I no got one. Lately, father told me to pick some beneficial rubbish from all over good places. Recycling. Yes, that dwells in father. He always taught me that we have to critically think on how to live longer with an excellent accommodation which only covers the food-filling in our bellies.

'Dad,' says I.
'Yes, darl,' taking up his head sighted on me.
'I want to ask you about something,'
'You have always asked the same thing and you know what my answer's gonna be,' he smiled broadly.
'No, this question is kind of....' knotting my two fingers from left hand and right one with lips-biting of curiosity made his wrinkles showed up on his forehead.
'It seems seldom. Come sit with me,' patting a wooden chair beside him, he intended to always help his only child, me.
'No, dad. I am wondering. Why people always cry when somebody died?'
'Where have you been?' without answering my question, he was filled with qualm when such questions pops up.
'I went to the funeral over Gerard's house,' I bowed down.
'Why did you go there?' he started to raise his eyebrows making me shivered that he might vent the anger.
'I........ I just wanna find a bundle more of friends!' sighed.
'But you're not supposed to go there. People are sorrowful thinking of their beloved ones had gone to a more restful place,'
'Are you trying to say that that is the reason of why they were crying? But I was taught that we are supposed to be happy when our beloved ones have a blessed life!'
'Should not,'
'What do you mean?'
'I have something to show to you,' leaving me alone on the old wooden chair, he left to grab something from the broken drawer.
'This is it,'
'Who is this?' I looked into the eyes drawn on the photo. A beautiful woman wearing a classic dress like a singer who wins men's hearts in pub.
'My beloved,' the husky old voice blended into the photo. He must be yearning a lot for this woman. But why, wasn't he supposed to be happy?
'She must be dead. You're supposed to be happy,'
'No, Anna, no,' his tears streaming down and I was speechless at the moment. I could never seen him crying but why on this photo of a woman?
'Dad....'
'Let's just forget about this. It will take a hundred years for you to understand. I won't explain,' he intervened my question sentence and I would just forget about it as he wished.

This bed was the most heavenly place for me. Nothing more could be better than this unless it was a Paris. But still Paris beds weren't to be good as mine. My bed is my bed and it would be even more blissful if father came to fondle my hair.
I walked towards the windows, still watching over a place where the funeral just occurred. The grave was looking good enough with all those flowers and I was pretty curious on what they were doing in there. Why?

Suddenly, a woman went into the cemetery alone and apparently and old woman going along behind her.
'Diana, stop crying!' says that old woman.
'I never wanted it to be in this way,' says the girl.
'But, he's gone. Let's go home,'
'No, he is here. He's gonna come out and fetch me!' what had astonished me that the girl was slapped by the old woman and what was more astonishing was the matter that I COULD HEAR THEM SPEAKING EVEN I AM 500metres AWAY!
'Mom!' she stood up while holding the cheek and ran away. Her mother fell down onto the ground right next to the grave.
'I told you, girl. I knew it...' she shed her tears while putting the hands on the tombstone.

'Anna,' a voice sneaking behind my back.
'Why didn't you sleep yet?'
'I...... I'm... staring at the skyline. It looks so beautiful, just like you Dad,' I grinned favourably.
'You're such a funny girl. And..... I have one thing to tell you,' he hadn't closed the door and remain standing up behind the door.
'What is it, dad?'
'Well.... maybe tomorrow. Gain energy and wake up early. Sleep now, darling. Goodnight,' he slammed  the door softly. He seems burdened by some risky thoughts and he didn't even give me a goodnight kiss tonight. What's wrong?
I walked towards the bed and lie down with my notebook. Father had always wrote a notice when he went to work earlier before I got up.

Lincoln bought some sugar candies to be shared among the kids. Being a teacher doesn't mean that he has to be a dictator. Her mother always told him to be a one of the nations and that is the reason why he acted like one of the kids. 'It sucks,' says Maria. 'We don't have to fight over this. You should have ever known that I work for society,' says Lincoln, backing up his career. 'How about this?' Maria yelled as her palms rubbing on her belly.
Sighing and in a sudden he sat on the floor. 'Let's get this over,' tears streaming down.
'I want to but you're the one who...' before she pursued on talking, Lincoln continued. 'Let just have us divorced'

'Mom, can I go to Borb?'
'What is Borb?' she asked while she was knitting.
'It is a great cafe ever existed! Come on mother! We all should have this one chance to feel the joy with friends. Just don't ask more and let me have some fun!' Diana cried out loud as a 16th years old girl.
'Are you going to see Kenneth?' her eyes were sighted back on her knitting project. She was actually reluctant to let her have a date.
'Are you telling me again that he resembled Dad? No, he doesn't. He's gonna be a perfect day for my kids someday!'
She stepped forwards and tried to look into her mom's eyes.
'Well, if you say so. Just go. And do not ever blame me for everything that'll happed to you,' Maria put all her knitting thread on her desk which was gifted from late Lincoln and she went into her bedroom without even looking at Diana.

Once she arrived, Kenneth was already there with a few black-shirted men with some pierces at their ears and noses as well as the lips causes Diana to freak out.
'Isn't it a place we hated?' said Kenneth.
'I love this place!' she tried as good as to whisper to Kenneth's ears. The men sitting around their table were hell so fierce-looked.
'Why are you bringing your men?'
'They're coming along! I never wanted them to join our dinner but they said I might do something to you,' then he burst into laughter.
'What? Does it mean that they're here for the sake of my safety?' Diana started to smile.
'It seems so,' while he sipped a beer, they threw their eyes on the men.

'Hi guys!' her excitement tended to give out her voice louder. She was trying to be fond of them but they looked terribly annoyed.
'Hey, be a good friend!' Kenneth said. 'Don't you see that I'm trying hard?!' patting on Kenneth's arm.
Then comes the waiter delivering their meals. The foods were only given to Diana and the guard men.
'Why aren't you eating?'
'I have something to do,' Kenneth was really focusing on his cellphone. 'What is that? Lemme see it!' when she tried to sneak into his arm, he pushed her away.
